Ears

Earlobe reduction

With ageing and lack of ear care, the ears can sometimes droop drastically, creating long, aborigine-like earlobes. Earlobe surgery or repair is a reconstructive plastic surgery procedure performed to restore the appearance of earlobes that have been torn or stretched due to ear tearing, trauma or piercing, including the insertion of ear gauges.

RECOMMENDED FOR:

  • Drooping earlobes
  • torn or stretched earlobes
  • Trauma to earlobes

Otoplasty (ear reconstruction)

Children and even adults with protruding ears or other ear deformities are often the brunt of jokes in school, home, and work. This leads to upbringing with problems in self-esteem and confidence

Ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, can improve the shape, position or proportion of the ear. Otoplasty can correct a defect in the ear structure that is present at birth that becomes apparent with development or it can treat misshapen ears caused by injury.

Ear surgery creates a natural shape while bringing balance and proportion to the ears and face. Correction of even minor deformities can have profound benefits to appearance and self-esteem. If protruding or disfigured ears bother you or your child, you may consider plastic surgery.

RECOMMENDED FOR:

  • Ear deformations
  • Protruding ears
  • Shell (tiny) ears
